He then recorded, Where I’ve Been, a 12 song album produced by Sean O’Dwyer in Las Vegas. Sean produced albums from artists such as The Black Crowes, Roger Waters, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Emerson Drive, Blink 182, Sum 41 and Phoenix TX.  Where I’ve Been struck a deal with TouchTunes jukeboxes and is available at more than 160 locations worldwide. In 2014 he appeared on NBC’s, The Voice and with his audition song, “Lights” he received a four-chair-turn and chose to be on Team Blake.  Ryan made it to Team Blake’s Top 5 finalists and appeared on the season finale. While on location, he recorded four hit singles on UMG Records including “Lights” by Journey,  Tina Turner’s, “What’s Love Got To Do With It”, “Easy” by Rascal Flatts and “Second Chance” by Shinedown.

"Don't Put Me In A Box"

Ryan Whyte Maloney shows his diverse talent with the hit single , “Don’t Put Me In a Box”, which was released in December 2022. He showcases his wide use of genres and decades of musical influences. The song was written about being yourself and having many sides that don’t conform to one style or idea. The music video was filmed in Ryan’s hometown of Traverse CIty, Michigan where Ryan can be seen at local fishing holes, farmland and driving a tractor AND where he currently resides in Las Vegas; driving his Cadillac Escalade around town or rocking out in front of a local popular country bar, Stoney’s.

The song inspires others to be themselves and to embrace and express all the many facets of their personality. It removes the concept of being labeled due to where you live, what you wear, what you do for a living and how others perceive you. It’s a strong message that embodies freedom from the societal pressure to portray oneself a certain way and to suppress your true inner spirit.

Ryan recently signed with Belle Chasse Records; and plans to release several hit singles including, “Don’t Put Me In a Box”, “I’m Gonna Live” and more! He will be on tour later in 2023.
